Just to let you know how far behind I am in posting, I made these little ditties for a friend's Oscar Party.
Why can't I bake like Bakerella? Here are her pictures:
And here are mine.
Umm? What happened?
Well, let's start with the fact that I'm impatient. These brownies require you to carefully cut out the popcorn bag shapes (of which I could not find a popcorn bag cookie cutter, so I used one that was in the shape of a beer mug overflowing with frothy beer and just cut off the handle), spread the top of the brownie with vanilla frosting, use popsicle sticks to create the white lines and sprinkle red sprinkles on top to create the red lines. Of course, I could never get my popsicle sticks to stick well, so red sprinkles went everywhere. Plus, I rush EVERYTHING and just wanted the torture to be over.
These are rich, rich, rich, but extremely tasty. You can only have a bite or two. You may ask yourself, are these worth it just to have a bite or two? Well, if you are Bakerella, yes they are, because then you would be totally awesome and these would look amazing. But if you are me? No. Because I am no Bakerella.
If you want to be a Bakerella, check her out here.
But if you want to try the awesomeness that are these brownies, check out her post with instructions!
Hahaha, okay, maybe not quite Bakerella but I still think these look awesome :D And rich and decadent? YES PLEASE. And then I'll die a rich and decadent life... sigh.
Good to see you back and blogging!

I give you a lot of credit for trying those. I would have lost my patience after the second one.

I think they look pretty darn good! I could never make these cuz not only do I not have the patience but I think I'm kinda lazy (don't tell the hubs though).

They're still cute! It takes a crazy amount of patience and time to get things like that to look perfect.

Kudos for giving them a go! I'm way too lazy/impatient to even attempt them. They are really cute, and just perfect for a ton of occasions!

These are so cute! I don't even want to know how they would come out if I made them - yikes!

LOL...at lest you made them. I don't think I would have had the patience to cut each piece out and mush less decorate them. They still look pretty darn cute.

At least u were fast enough to use beer cookie cutters as a replacement! these are looking very close to Bakerella's!

I am impatient too! I bet yours tasted just fine, and that is what counts :)

I feel your pain. My recent birthday cake did not turn out half as cute as the inspiration. One guest even commented that it looked like a clown sneezed on it. Oh well!

These are so cute. I love this idea. I'm no Bakerella either. By the way, I'm holding a CSN giveaway on my blog and you're welcome to come by and enter. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2010/11/45-csn-giveaway.html

The fact that you even went for this is awesome. It's no easy feat. Maybe you can make them half the size next time. Like the kids size movie popcorn bags!

Over the years people have asked if I had one simple idea that would help others cope with problems, seize opportunities and make their lives successful.

Nicely and creatively presented! I thought this was bacon strips and after a second look, a bag of popcorn!

I just made these too! I got just as impatient, haha.

I simply love! And I would like to know how to do things my way, but unfortunately I have no art to it, so I will enjoy seeing it in your photos.
