It's really hard to go wrong with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, I could eat that salad by itself for my whole meal. And it looks just super glamorous!

Congratulations on your success! Sounds like an amazing meal :) I loved Ariane and was sad to see her go.

Sara

Well, you're just a regular Barefoot Contessa, with your planning ahead and simple dishes for a stress free dinner party :) The whole meal sounds delicious.

Funny how cooking together is rarely cooking together - that's usually how it works at my house, too!

You can't go wrong with caprese salad - one of my favorites. Yours looks delicious!

This salad looks wonderful. Sometimes the best dishes are the ones that are simple and require little effort because the food shines through. I have had my challenges cooking for a group. After hosting a few dinner parties for groups of 30 (sometimes more) I've realized that you have rely on simple recipes like this one and make ahead stuff so that you can try to enjoy the party yourself.

Wow that last photo is amazing!! (And delicious looking too)

I love, love, love caprese salad in all it's forms (for such a simple salad it does have a lot of forms). I make and eat it all the time in the summer when tomatoes are at their peak. YUM. The basil sea salt and oil sound delicious.

Michelle

Yum this looks so good. I have never had Caprese salad..I must try it soon!

Beautiful salad and great sounding meal. I am also always over complicating things and find myself completely stressed out and running around frantically before guests arrive. What a novel idea to be relaxed and able to enjoy the evening. Well done!
If you like to learn new technique and skills you would probably love www.rouxbe.com . They have the best instructional cooking videos I have seen, but better they have an online culinary program that is great. I am working my way through the lessons and love it. Their site is geared toward teaching technique and the recipes are all there to illustrate and offer practice for specific techniques. Most of the site is free, but the cooking school requires a paid membership.
