Well done! I passed on this one as I've tried that type of frosting before and have failed miserably. Your cake looks great!

I had plans to share this cake with friends, but it never got out of the house. I don't know how the two of us ate the whole thing, but we did and I am not the least bit sorry it was so good! Your cake looks delicious!

Although I like the look of old typewriters, I'm grateful for the ease of computers. As someone who remembers using an old, manual typewriter long ago, let's just say that computers are easier on your fingers, and easier on trees. You don't need those bottles of White Out that always dried up too fast, either. ;)

Weeeeee .. I found another Long Island foodie! Thks for stopping by my blog. Hats off to all you TWD girls .. I've yet to work up the guts (and skills) to join that group. Your cake looks dangerous to my thighs ... I've recently started working out again, so maybe won't try it out JUST yet. Soon enough though!

Your post was wonderful. I do like the sound of old typewriters. It is a cool thing to hear. Your BF is so sweet to say something so cute as that. Your cake came out perfect!

Kayte

Loved your post...gorgeous cake. Very sweet boyfriend...how cute was what he said to you??? So cute. I cannot imagine tiny little you being tempted by a cake...fun to hear that even you have trouble keeping your hands off the cake! Great job!

Beryl

I can no longer be trusted with full size cakes. And even with my mini version I gained weight this weekend!

Jacque

LOL, your co-workers, revolting against your goodies. I often wondered if my neighbors would start a revolt against my treats too.

Well, your cake sure looks good. And I agree, cream cheese icing is good on EVERYthing.

Brooke

I love your blog! I read a whole bunch of your posts all in a row because they are so cute! I hope you don't mind my checking back every so often! Those red velvet cupcakes with the chocolate heart on top were adorable!!! I loooove red velvet!

mike

Wow - everything looks perfect - love how your frosting turned out, I had such a hard time with mine. It looks just like the book cover - very nicely done! And I'm sure it tastes just as good!

Cream cheese frosting on this cake sounds great!

Amy

Great job on this cake, but I'm SO with you on the cream cheese frosting. That's the way to go. Your recipe for cream cheese frosting looks a lot like mine, but I usually add a tiny bit of almond extract.

Leanne

Oh I want an old typewriter too. I am envious of your cake. It is beautiful. I also agree this cake is named appropriately because I sure did have to exercise more this past week.

Ha ha ha!! I think the book is going to be the death of my diet. There hasn't been anything yet that I didn't eat the whole thing...sometimes with a little help, sometimes by myself;)

I love to read your blog. So funny!!

Cakelaw

Sorry to hear that you didn't like the frosting - but you did an awesome job. This cake was amazing!

pinkstripes

Your cake looks great. I love when guys speak cheese, it's so funny.

pamela

I love that you wanted to dance in the frosting! It was a good cake, but dangerous for the diet, indeed. I couldn't take the temptation, so I had to dump it!

Traffic schmaffic. I love your goofy post titles. And while I love the sound of a clicking typewriter, I also remember having to type too many college papers on one. A nightmare for a terrible typist like me. Give me my computer any day. (I, too, love my Mac!)

Your cake looks beautiful. Just eat a slice while your on the treadmill. The two actions cancel each other out resulting in zero calories.
