I won't bore you with my ramblings on how AMAZING these little Linzer Sables are because I'm sure you've seen them all over the food blogosphere (wow, I said that I would NEVER use that word again), including Tastespotting and Food Gawker (and until they cut me some slack on some photos that I submit, I shall not link to them! Take that!). I'm feeling unbelievably lazy concise today, so I'll just sum it up quickly.
These cookies are so interesting and I will make them again and again, you mark my words. Mark them!
Perfectly soft with just a little crunch around the ends, amped up with wintery spices like cloves and cinnamon and filled with just the right amound of jam do a delicious cookie make.
So please, make these. You can thank me later.
And seriously, who am I kidding? My pictures are crap. Santa, please bring me a Nikon D40. I'm sorry for calling you a crabby old man.
For the full recipe, check out Dennis over at Living the Life!
I hope Santa hears you! You are so worth it! They turned out great. I love the picture of them by the tree.

Leaving these cookies for Santa is a good start on getting that D40!

Tell santa to bring me one of those too. I am tired of my crappy little point and shoot. And getting too old to see the little tiny screen....
But back to the cookies - they look adorable, I liked them too - I am a big fan of the spices.

Your cookies look so sweet! I agree, this recipe is a keeper.
Great picture - how can Santa Claus resist surprising you with that Nikon D40!
